About

So-La-TEA-Do is a place for creative tea crafting. We have a variety of teas of different types, from all around the world. All our teas are certified organic. We take the traditional way of drinking tea and add much goodness from nature itself. Our teas are crafted using (but not limited to) various types of flowers, fruits, herbs, and vegetables. Our teas are sweetened with organic certified agave nectar, certified organic sugar and/or certified organic honey (you get to choose). If you opt out for added sweeteners, our flowers. fruits, herbs, and vegetables are carefully freeze-dried. The process removes ALL moisture from the ingredients, resulting in a concentration of flavor, color, and natural sweetness – just as nature has it.

Below is a brief description of each type of tea we used:

Black Teas

One of the most frequently used teas in the world, black tea is a staple in most households. Some cultures drink it as-is, while others, such as in the United States (for example), drink it iced, usually with a sweetener, whether it is sugar or honey. Black tea has a number of benefits, to include antioxidant properties, lower cholesterol, reduce the risk of cancer, and lower chances of disease.

Green Teas

According to studies, green tea is healthier than black tea, but this section is not to knock the benefits of black tea, as each type has its own benefits. As a matter of fact, green tea is crowned as one of (if not) the healthiest teas in the world. Studies show that green tea helps with inflammation, skin, cancer prevention, and blood health.

White Teas

White tea comes in second place in reference to the healthiest teas. It is one of the least caffeinated teas, which is great to drink any time of the day, including at night. White tea has a number of antioxidant properties, is great for gut health, decreases the risk of heart disease, and helps control weight.

Red Teas

When red tea is mentioned, rooibos red tea comes to mind. Red tea is not discussed as much as the others but is gaining a lot of attention. When brewed, most red teas have an amber color to it. Most (if not all) red teas are caffein-free and low in tannins. Tannins are compounds found in tea that prevent the absorption of essential minerals, such as iron. Red tea is rich in antioxidants and good for blood health management.

Herbal Teas

Herbal Tea Combinations are endless. We have single-herb and combination herbal teas. Herbs, whether cooked, dried, included in foods, or eaten raw, have an abundance of health benefits.
